About Me

Sonrisa Watts is a behavioral researcher and artificial intelligence strategist from St. Kitts and Nevis.

Sonrisa was born and raised in St. Kitts and Nevis, a twin island with a population of 48,000 people. She also built Emotion Encoded there, and was eventually recognized.

At age 24, Watts founded Emotion Encoded, an independent research initiative investigating cognitive-emotional barriers to AI adoption in high-stakes industries.

Eight months later, following her extensive mixed-methods studies and professional interviews with Caribbean medical specialists, her proprietary regional datasets captured global attention.

This work culminated in a formal invitation from the Stanford University School of Medicine to integrate her findings into their Global AI Implementation Curriculum and first-author a landmark clinical AI implementation manuscript.
